Our Volunteer Teaching in Costa Rica program places you at an elementary school as a teaching assistant. The schools are located in and around Heredia in Costa Rica’s Central Valley. As a volunteer in our Teaching Project in Costa Rica, you will work alongside local teachers to provide children children ages 6-12 with skills in both spoken and written English. Having students practice conversational English is a special focus of our volunteers’ work.
You do not need to be a certified teacher or have a TESOL/TEFL certification in order to join our Volunteer Teaching in Costa Rica program. During your stay as a volunteer in Costa Rica, you are more than welcome to take Spanish Classes in Costa Rica regardless of your level.
