Orphanage Volunteering in Vietnam

Through our orphanage volunteering program in Vietnam, you will primarily assist the staff at the orphanage with English and basic math classes.

You would also be free to do things like play games, arts & crafts, music, dance, and organize sports as well.

You can also help the kids with homework, play sports, take them down the road for walks, and generally just get to know and care for them. Volunteers are also welcome to organize some daytrips on Sundays and holidays for the children.

Unlike with most of our other programs, the program fee does not include accommodations and meals.

For accommodations, volunteers typically stay at hotels or hostels which are usually within walking distance to the orphanages. In Ho Chi Minh the location is District 1 in Ho Chi Minh. You are free to book your own accommodations before arriving in Vietnam.

However, if volunteers choose to wait until they arrive in Vietnam, Cosmic will assist them by arranging (at our expense) the first night accommodation in a predetermined hotel. Then if they choose to move, we gladly take them around to see the other accommodations options. The accommodations range from US$5 to $30 per night.

For meals, you would pay your own way at restaurants. There are plenty of very inexpensive ones, with Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, and western food. A typical meal is US$2-$3.
