Volunteer in Nepal
Nepal is, simply put, a magical place. There is a mystery about
this tiny Himalayan kingdom that draws visitors to return time and
again. Nepal is the first place we started sending volunteers, and
it continues to be one of our most popular destinations.
Our volunteer programs in Nepal include Orphanages,
Teaching,
and Healthcare.
Read aboout the programs and let us help you have an unforgettable
experience in Nepal.
Nepal opened itself to the outside world in the 1950's, after a
century of isolation imposed by the government. Since then, foreigners
have discovered the kindness and humility of its people, the ancient
temples of Kathmandu, the wildlife parks in Chitwan, and the Himalayas
with their unmatched beauty and simply the best trekking in the
world.
The term “culture shock” doesn’t really do justice
to Nepal though. Take a walk through Kathmandu, with its crowded
streets and labyrinth of back-alleys, and you’ll be forgiven
for feeling like you’ve landed on another planet. It’s
a mix of modern and ancient – the roaming cows, software houses,
tuk-tuk taxis buzzing around at breakneck speed, mobile phones ringing,
Buddhist monks in wingtips shoes, children playing on 500 year-old
temples, the smell of incense, and images of Hindu gods everywhere.
