Volunteer at an Orphanage in Guatemala

For orphanage volunteer work in Guatemala, our volunteers live in the city of Antigua while working either in Antigua itself or commuting to orphanages in nearby towns.

The volunteer work normally involves teaching English (basic reading/writing), basic math, playing games, arts and crafts, helping with homework, playing sports, taking them on day-trips, and sometimes getting the children dressed in the morning and helping them with meals.

For accommodations, volunteers stay with local host families in Antigua who provide you with your own room, all meals, and include you in family activities. These families are known to us personally and have been specifically trained on hosting foreign volunteers.
